App Issues

If you are experiencing issues with the app or system, we are here to help. 

First, always ensure your phone or tablet's software is fully updated. Check your app store to ensure you have the latest version of the app.

Set-up: The phone stand should be 2-3 feet from the target. When deciding where to place the phone tripod, you might need to move it closer or farther and utilize the zoom feature for accurate calibration.

Screen Filling—All four corners of the gray target should be visible in the app camera view. The target no longer needs to be zoomed in before calibrating, as we just introduced an auto-calibration feature that will zoom in for you. You also want to make sure the Acuro squares (black and white squares) on the corners of the target are entirely visible. 

Auto-Calibration: After making sure the entire target is visible in the app camera view, you will need to calibrate. We introduced an auto-calibration feature that will zoom in to ideal magnification without you having to manually zoom in. All you need to do is make sure the entire target is visible and hit "calibrate." The auto-calibrate function will zoom in on the target until the red outline matches the target outline. If you find that the auto-calibration isn't zooming in enough, you can always use the sliding scale manually. Session Start: Press the start button to kick off your session when ready.

Not Recording Shots: If you find that the app is not recording your shots reliably but all of the environmental factors are perfect, it may be a setting issue. There is a setting with the selections "speed" or "accuracy." Switching from one to another might help, depending on the type of camera your phone has. You can find this by starting in the train tab and selecting the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner. Once selected, the settings should pop up immediately. 

Distance and Lighting: Some customers experience "ghost shots," "phantom shots," or mention the laser going off independently. This is usually due to lighting issues. For best results, ensure consistent lighting, avoiding TV glare, direct light above the app, and bright sunlight, as this could affect app performance. Remember that shadows or changing lighting can affect the app's accuracy when choosing a spot for your system.
