WHAT CARTRIDGE DO I NEED + COMPATIBILITYUpdated 10 days ago

Calibers We Offer

Strikeman works with revolvers, pistols, shotguns and rifles. Need help figuring out which cartridge you need? We're here to help!

Most firearms work properly with the Strikeman laser cartridge, with the exception of the firearms listed below:

  • Ruger SR series
  • Walther PPK
  • Walther CCP
  • Beretta AX100
  • Beretta 92X Centurion
  • Marlin 336
  • SAA 1873 Replica
  • Winchester Model 54
  • Savage 110

Here is a list of firearms that require a different caliber than traditionally required:

  • Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm- The barrel of this weapon is too tight for our 9mm laser bullet. Please use a .380 ACP for this firearm.
  • Tanfoglio 9mm - The barrel of this weapon is too tight for our 9mm laser bullet. Please use a .380 ACP for this firearm.

Dry-Fire Magazines:  Strikeman does not work with dry-fire magazines.

12-Gauge: The 12-gauge cartridge gets ejected when you rack your shotgun. If you're purchasing a 12-gauge cartridge, we recommend getting 3 of them for convenience.

****Please keep in mind that due the the hundreds of makes and models of Firearms on the market, there may be firearms that are not compatible that are not on the list. If you purchase a cartridge and it is not compatible, we are happy to help facilitate a return or exchange. If you have any questions about compatibility after reading through this page, please feel free to contact our customer support team for more help!****

*This is the most updated list of incompatible firearms. If your manual mentions incompatible firearms, that list is outdated. Please reference this list only. Thank you.*

Pistols
You can find the correct size on your pistol by looking at the barrel or on the side of the frame. The magazine will also have a stamped number indicating the size. With certain compact or subcompact pistols an alternative cartridge will need to be used. Usually these pistols are 9mm and need to use a 380 acp. If you have a compact pistol and need help with sizing, please feel free to email our customer support.

Rifles
You can find the stamping on the barrel like you would a shotgun on regular hunting or bolt action rifles. It is often stamped on the left side of the barrel. AR platform rifles can vary in size, like 223/5.56, .300AAC, and 308. These details are also located on the barrel. The firearm may also have stamped with specs and serial numbers on it.

These cartridges are a "type b" laser, which means the laser will automatically shut off after a second. This ensures the app doesn't record ghost shots before the rifle is reset.
Please remember that some AR pistols will use a smaller-sized caliber like the 9mm.

Revolvers
Because revolvers are smaller than pistols, the stamp marking for the caliber size can be found on either the barrel or by the handle. With revolvers, we offer the .38 Special cartridge. If your revolver takes a .357 Magnum, our .38 Special laser cartridge will fit into the cylinder. Our .357 Sig will NOT fit into the .357 Magnum cylinder.

Shotguns

For shotguns, the stamp can usually be found on the barrel for the gauge size. Stamping on the left side of the shotgun is widespread

We recommend you research your caliber gauge if you need help deciding which laser to order. Our final recommendation would be to go to your gun manufacturer's firearm product page and research specs or visit your local gun store.

Commonly Confused Calibers

It is very easy to mistake a 22 for a 223 when ordering a cartridge. We do not currently carry a 22 LR cartridge due to battery size constraints.

Our 357 sig will not work with 357 caliber Magnum Revolvers. Our 38 special cartridge will work in place of a 357 Mag.
